360ip was established by Battelle, Battelle Ventures, and its affiliate fund, Innovation Valley Partners, and benefits from a close relationship with these organizations. 360ip accesses Battelle for analysis, maturation and commercialization services for the intellectual property that 360ip manages for its partners.
Established in 1929 and based in Columbus, Ohio, Battelle is the world’s largest non-profit independent Research and Development (“R&D”) organization, with over US$6 billion in annual revenues and more than 20,000 employees globally. Battelle adds value to 360ip’s business initiatives with established operations and relationships in key global markets. The scope of Battelle’s global business activities gives 360ip and its partners the advantage of extensive resources around the world.
Battelle Ventures, and its affiliate fund, Innovation Valley Partners (“BV/IVP”), have a combined US$255 million of assets under management and provide significant experience in technology maturation and investment across diverse industry sectors, with particular expertise in investing in IP from prominent research institutions. BV/IVP works closely with Battelle, as well as with the R&D institutions that Battelle manages or co-manages for the United States Department of Energy.
