Central South University
CSU was established in April 2000 from the amalgamation of three individual universities, specifically Central South University of Technology (founded in 1952), Hunan Medical University (founded in 1914) and Changsha Railway University (founded in 1953). CSU is one of 76 national universities under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education in China. CSU’s focus areas include engineering, science, medicine and material science. In addition, CSU’s faculty includes three members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 12 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. www.csu.edu.cn
